It's really annoying to receive an email from a bully when their signature tag line praises the wonderful benefits of teamwork and collaboration.
Perhaps the bully doesn't know what those terms mean. Or how far they have fallen short.
Who is the bully's email tag line aimed at? Who are they trying to convince?
A "team" can be inclusive or exclusive.
Inclusive: "We are all part of the team."
Exclusive: "We are part of the team and you are not." (An "us vs. them" attitude)
Inclusive: "Everyone is invited to the happy hour!"
Exclusive: "Don't invite Bob to the happy hour. Nobody wants him there."
Which definition of 'team' do you think bullies subscribe to?
Are bullies capable of empathy? Do they care about anyone but themselves?
